They earn fan boys basically by my definition of "fanboyism". They lack any knowledge of the product they so whole-heartedly back yet when pointed and sometimes even forced into the face of facts they recoil in some ambiguous statement that they repeat until the subject is dropped by those more intelligent than themselves.Like that old saying "You cant argue with an idiot,they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience" or something to that nature but you get the drift.
