there could be 2 reasons ms is waiting.
1. they are losing so much money on each 360 so they gotta make as much as possiable off any add on available. component cables are very cheap but they can charge a premium since there not regular component cables that you can just buy from any store.
2. they were waiting for the whole hdmi 1.3 specs to be finalized. this is very likely the reason for the wait. its been finalized so im sure one will be on its way. more then likely around when the hddvd add on comes out.
