why is video+audio in one connector "better"?
Dumb newbie question: A supposed "advantage" of HDMI is that digital audio is on the same cable with the video. But don't you need to send the video to the display and the audio to the sound system, which are typically separate boxes?
If the signal always needs to be split between boxes, what's the point of a single cable/connector?
