I purchased an EW with my set some months back. Coverage was from G.E. Asking price was $280 at the store for 3 or was that 5 yrs coverage. Package deal I got priced the EW at $200.

With the set as new as it is, I've not had need for EW support. The G.E. coverage has a performance clause and says they cover everything that is needed to return the product back to its intended use/perpose. This includes lamp replacement.

Hope I never have a need but if I do, I hope there will be no snags from G.E. Where I live, the same local Co's provide coverage from set mfgr and G.E. During the period of overlaping coverage I shouldn't have to worry about who pays.
