People thought that the game was going to require 4 DVDs, but lo and behold the fanboys were wrong: only 1 was needed. If you understand compression technology, BR is even overkill for HD movies. Mpeg 4 is a much more efficient (shall I say "next-gen? ) HD codec than mpeg2. As Public Enemy would say "Don't believe the (Sony) hype"

first of all oblivion wasn't in 1080p which would have taken more space.yes i know that only a few games on the ps3 are going to due 1080p so far but with more experence with the hardware in a few years all the games will be at 1080p.the xbox 360 can't do dolby digital true HD(lossless) surround sound but it could that would take up a lot more space than their dvd's could handle, but some people would probley so what, but atleast sony's ps3 is going to be future proof for us gear freaks and gear freaks of the future.
