So that is no big deal to me. Besides most people that played PS2 or XB online, prob has it connected wireless anyway.
they didnt force anything on consumers.. the reason they wanted to use the blu-ray drive is obviously not only for the high def movies but the fact that you can fit 50GB of data on a dual layer blu-ray disc... now compare that to "the whopping" 8GB on a dual layer DVD which 360 uses.. theres no comparison... in the years to come the 360 just wont be able to hold enough data to match to the PS3 games, i can see the future now: a developer makes a multiplatform game for 360 and PS3.. the PS3 will be one BD disc and the 360 well...that same game might just be like 3-5DVD's long LOL! or they might just have to downgrade the graphics due to the lack of space.

so in the long run im super glad they kept the blu-ray drive.. its the nex-gen.. NOT little O' DVD drives. plus with the PS3 whoever wants to watch high def movies doesnt have to purchase something seperate for like $300.

by the way does anyone know whats the media format for the Wii??? DVD??????? mini disc???
