Very good post thanks for the info can wait for the HD Drive would love to purchase a 100G HDD.I've heard of some of the rumors you mention in your post ,for one is the Gears of War release date. I had it reserved and payed for since Jan 06 EB said it was schedule for May but he the Xbox 360 Mag said fall 06.
