Those lamps are NOT only $10-20.00, but most people WISH they were. They actually cost anywhere from $200.00-500.00 depending on the mfg and lamp model. I just replaced my lamp after 7800 hours and it cost $409.00, but luckily I bought the extended warranty through Best Buy and they are reimbursing me for the cost. From everything I am reading, I am lucky to get that many hours from the lamp, since the longest I ever heard of one lasting is 5000 hours.
