The whole point of the article was to say "Hey 24 months ago LCD really couldn't hold a candle up to what Plasma offered" but now that gap has closed termendisly, and with the 2005 fall offerings from Sharp and Sony that gap has closed up a little more.
With the Next Gen of LCD's due out late March sum 3 months or more ahead of the next Gen of Plasmas you may see that LCD has caught up to Plasma and may even better it in some areas.
Most of the arguments sournding LCD are old and many of them really don't apply to todays LCD panels. I'm sure that with the next Gen of Plasmas will come new improvements, but for someone to say that LCD will never equal Plasma is just plain silly.
