Cable Box Fried-Surge Protection for Coax?
Ok...have posted related question regarding burnt stb and hdmi inputs on lcd tv on other forum and reply suggests cable company liability. My question now, while I research liability with Comcast/Sony etc. is:
Can an expensive Belkin surge protector(PureAv 9Fa1033-10) with coax inputs stop power surges from frying my set top box and hdmi inputs and hdmi cords? I have had contractors and cable techs test all electric grounds and connections and I am still frying, as in melted inputs and soot black burn marks on hdmi cables and inputs, and losing stb's and inputs on my 52" Sony. What can I do to protect my TV from this?
