Default HLR-5667W: 1 HDMI but need 2....HDMI signal splitter good???

Hey guys, thanks for your help on my previous posts, just bought the Samsung HLR-5667W 56" DLP model @ Best Buy and will be delivered on 2/2. My question is that this model has 1 HDMI on the back of the TV but I need two, one for my DVD player and one for my Motorola HD cable box from Comcast.

Best Buy has an HDMI signal splitter were you can just switch a button to cable or DVD for like $130 . My question is, will I lose my HD signal strength from splitting the two HDMI cables like I would when using a cable splitter for two TV's?

My other question is when I hook up my surround sound speakers (Klipsch Synergy III F-2) using the digital optical cable to my receiver (Pioneer VSX-1015TX) will I get audio lag to the TV? I've read that if I have this problem to first run all the audio to the television then re-route it to the receiver will help with audio lag? It also says that progressive scan TV's prevents audio lag. Any of you Techies heard of this or how I can prevent it????

Much help is needed.
