I was hoping that somebody out there could clear something up for me. I have an Xbox running component video going into an RCA HDLP50W151. I've made the appropriate setting on the dashboard of the Xbox to display games at 720p(MVP 2004 can be played at this resolution), but the TV will only display at 480p. I've tried all the component inputs on the T.V. but to no avail. I've heard the term "downconverting" thrown around, but I'm not too clear what that is and why certain T.V.'s do it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
